Daniel J Jerbi
Mr. Jerbi represents the GSW class of 1963. While at GSW he was active in baseball, basketball and track,student council,school play,and yearbook.
After GSW he attended Marquette University where he received his teaching credentials, and later a masters degree from Illinois State University. Daniel taught at South Wilmington Grade School for three years before becoming a teacher at GSW for 14 years. Mr. Jerbi would then serve GSW as a principal for 16 years.
While he was still the principal of GSW he completed the United States Naval Academy Informational officer Training.Shortly after retirement from GSW he completed the Illinois State police officer training.
Daniel served our country as United States Naval Academy Information Officer, and he was awarded the Northern Illinois Outstanding U.S. Naval Academy Information Officer award.
He currently serves our community and county as a correctional officer for Grundy County Sheriff's Department and as a substitute teacher in Grundy County Schools.
In the 2019-2020 athletic season he will have been an IHSA athletic official for 50 years.
During his time at GSW he has mentored thousands of students with his kind and insightful demeanor. He continues to carry these qualities wherever he goes and whenever he visits GSW.
